Archbishop L J Guillory: Speak Out On BIGOTS and Ben Stein

Truth Be Told ~ I Know A Bigot When I Hear One: "Bigot" = A person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices; especially : one who regards or treats the members of a group (as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance.~ "Full Definition of BIGOT"
STEIN: "There has never been a case in history where a poor person who is a slovenly, uneducated, lazy, undisciplined drug addict got to be rich because of some wealthy person being taxed. It's fine with me --"
STEIN: "No, no, no, not at all, not at all, many are fine, and incredibly hard working people and I love them and by the way, I work with them when I go to Walmart, and they're great, great people. But there are an awful lot of people who are slobs, drunks, drug addicts. No plan is going to help them. Their own discipline, their own willingness to get an education, that will help them. Taking away from the rich is not going to help them. By the way, it's fine with me if they take away from the rich. I sign my income tax check with a smile, but I don't -- but I don't think it's going to make the poor rich. "
STEIN: "If you took all that money and gave it to the dumber people who are way below the poverty line, they'll be better off for a little while, but unless they can develop better habits of life they are not going to be better off at all. Any person in this country who works hard, gets a decent education and really, really is disciplined can become a middle-class person unless he's physically or mentally disabled. It doesn't happen by taking away from the rich. It happens by the efforts of the individual person in America. Self-discipline, reliance upon self, reliance upon hard work -- that's what makes it happen. " (emphasis added)

George Hamilton, After Sitting Down With Oprah ~ Took Time To Chat With Archbishop L J Guillory, in Beverly Hills About His Book "Don't Mind If I Do"

George Hamilton explains his unsettling perma-tan to Oprah
"I was kind of a gangling, Jerry Lewis funny kind of guy in school, and I went from an eastern boarding school to… Florida where my mother was. I went there for the vacation and turned overnight into this lobster-red, which then turned into a brown. It was the first time I ever got hit on by a girl. So, I associated it with the tan." Said, Hamilton to Oprah!
Archbishop Guillory said Hamiltion looks amazing. He still looks trim and healthy, which he credits to experimental stem-cell therapy injections: “I still wear the same size clothes I wore in high school. It has nothing to do with luck. I’m concerned with how I look and feel. I’m busier than ever.” Hamilton has two coming movies: “I play an Alzheimer’s patient who thinks he’s Dean Martin, and in another fi lm I’m a corrupt congressman,” he says.
“I just produced a documentary on daredevil Evel Knievel, and I’m producing another about Errol Flynn’s son, a Vietnam war photographer. I’m launching my one-man stage show touring America telling stories from my life and my son Ashley and I are set to co-star in a new TV comedy Damaged Goods. I don’t think I’ll ever retire.”
Yet Hamilton feels he doesn’t get the respect he deserves in Hollywood, saying: “I’ve been dismissed by the very best. I enjoy acting now, but the glamour has gone from Hollywood. Actors can be so boring today.
“Life’s incredible for me now, and I have the freedom to live it without many of the responsibilities I had before. “Life’s no longer about accumulating wealth, it’s about having experiences. Who knows – maybe I’ll find love again.”

The Office of The Ombudsman General Supports: The New Bill ~ But, Say There's More That Needs To be Done!

Washington, DC - The Office of The Ombudsman General, Archbishop L J Guillory, Say: "His Office Supports the New Bill "Excessive Use of Force Prevention Act of 2015." However, and most paramount we can not stop there. As, there is a lot more work that must be done in this most odious matter of our police committing Murder and getting away with it- by Law!"
Apr 28, 2015 Press Release BROOKLYN, NY –Today Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (NY), joined by the National Action Network and Gwen Carr, the mother of Eric Garner, gathered in front of One Police Plaza to announce the introduction of the Excessive Use of Force Prevention Act of 2015. On the heels of a nationwide outcry demanding an end to the excessive use of force by police officers, the legislation will make the deployment of a chokehold unlawful under federal civil rights law. Rep. Jeffries said: “The overwhelming majority of all police officers are hardworking individuals who are on the job to protect and serve. Yet, it is undeniable that our country is in the midst of an epidemic of police violence that has badly damaged the relationship between law enforcement and communities throughout America, including in New York City. The chokehold is a poster child for violent police tactics. It is an unreasonable measure. It is an unnecessary measure. It is an uncivilized measure. The Excessive Use of Force Prevention Act will make it an unlawful measure.”
Minister Kirsten John Foy, Northeast Regional Director of the National Action Network said: “The National Action Network, Rev. Al Sharpton and the community at large thank Rep. Hakeem Jeffries for his legislative, political and moral leadership in the pursuit of equal protection under the law and Equal Justice for all. Rep. Jeffries' bill to classify the use of the chokehold as excessive and prohibited use of force will begin to restore faith in the criminal justice system, it will provide much needed clarity for law enforcement across the nation and it will, most importantly, save lives. By eliminating discrepancies between criminal procedure law which governs the behavior of law enforcement and penal law which governs the behavior of everyday citizens this bill will establish a uniform right to breathe, which is a fundamental human right. We stand solidly with Rep. Jeffries as he labors to permanently ban the chokehold.”
Ms. Carr said: “My son Eric lost his life to a senseless, unnecessary and inhumane chokehold. He begged for air, he begged for the right to breathe and the police took his last breath from him. Congressman Jeffries' legislation will prevent another mother and another person's child from losing their breath and their lives because of a police officer's chokehold. I thank Congressman Jeffries for his commitment to justice for Eric, justice for our communities and for life.”
Eric Garner, a father of six, died in Staten Island as a result of a chokehold administered by Police Officer Daniel Pantaleo on July 17, 2014. Despite pleading for his life on eleven different occasions, not a single officer came to his aid. The medical examiner ruled his death a homicide. Although a bystander captured the entire encounter on video tape, a Staten Island Grand Jury failed to indict Officer Pantaleo on a single charge.
“In the memory of Eric Garner, we are introducing the Excessive Use of Force Prevention Act of 2015. His tragic death and the stunning miscarriage of justice that resulted from the failure to indict his killer sparked a national outcry. It demands a national response,” said Rep. Jeffries.
The deployment of a chokehold has been banned by the New York Police Department for more than twenty years. Presently, several major police departments throughout the country prohibit, limit or discourage chokehold use. In addition to New York, these cities include Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. However, there is no national standard on the excessive use of force, as guidance in restraining a suspect has traditionally been left to local law enforcement officials and municipalities.
The Excessive Use of Force Prevention Act of 2015 amends a civil rights statute section entitled “Deprivation of Rights Under Color of Law” to include chokeholds as a “punishment, pain or penalty”. The bill defines a chokehold as “the application of any pressure to the throat or windpipe which may prevent or hinder breathing or reduce the intake of air,” consistent with the current New York Police Department standard. There are twenty original co-sponsors of the legislation, including Rep. Charles Rangel, Rep. Jose Serrano, Rep. Gregory Meeks and Rep. Yvette Clarke.

Archbishop L J Guillory, Ombudsman General: Showed His Support For Awareness Around The Hit & Run Crimes in Los Angeles County

Ride, Run Walk N' Roll 2015.
Our analysis of hit-and-run crashes found that about one in five of all pedestrian fatalities are hit-and-runs, and 60% of hit-and-run fatalities have pedestrians as victims. "Alcohol is a major, major part of the problem, from the driver's perspective, especially. The main thing we can do as a society to sort of combat this problem is to simply be more alert as pedestrians and drivers."
"People find themselves in these situations, and what do you do?" says Sara Solnick, chairwoman of the Department of Economics at the University of Vermont, who has studied hit-and-run crashes.
"Drivers are more likely to run if they feel there is a reason to do so. They're more likely to have high blood-alcohol content, or they're driving without a license, or they're very young drivers."
"It's most paramount that we bring Attention and Awareness around the 'Hit and Run' Crimes, in Los Angeles County." So, The Ombudsman General says: "Paying Attention could Save Lives. Don't turn an Accident into a Crime - Stick around Render Aid, call 911 and be responsible!"

Is Sen. Ted Cruz Using His Bid For President Only To Raise Money for His Senate Re-Election 2018? Some Republicans Are Asking The Question

Chris Cillizza February 14, 2014 On Wednesday, Ted Cruz did something you almost never see in the Senate: He purposefully made political life harder for his Republican colleagues. By forcing the Senate to round up 60 votes to end debate and force a final vote on a clean increase of the debt ceiling, Cruz knowingly complicated things for the top two Republicans in the chamber -- Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) and Senate Minority Whip John Cornyn (Texas). Both men face primary challenges from their ideological right and neither relished the idea of helping break a filibuster for a debt ceiling increase with no Republican proposals attached. Here's how the Wall Street Journal's conservative op-ed page described what Cruz did: "We're all for holding politicians accountable with votes on substantive issues, but Mr. Cruz knew he couldn't stop a debt increase the House had already passed. He also had no alternative strategy if the bill had failed, other than to shut down the government again, take public attention away from ObamaCare, and make Republicans even more unpopular." It's not news that Cruz cares little for Senate tradition. He ran in 2012 on his willingness to shake up the institution, and time and again -- most notably during his nearly 24 hour talk-a-thon to protest Obamacare -- he has been willing (and gleefully so) to be a fly in the ointment. But, this latest gambit by Cruz may well be the most telling because it directly impacts two men who, if Cruz had any thought of sticking around the Senate for any extended period of time, not only could, but would make life very uncomfortable for him. There is nothing that politicians -- and especially Senators -- hate more than being forced into a politically uncomfortable vote by a colleague of the same party. McConnell and Cornyn, both of whom are favorites to win their primaries, will never forget Cruz's move this past week. And, Cruz is plenty smart enough to realize that. Cruz, ultimately, wants to be president. And, he may well seize his high profile and his status as a hero among the tea party to run in 2016. (If he runs, he is either in or very close to the top tier of candidates.) If Cruz doesn't win (or doesn't run), he won't be up for re-election until 2o18. He may well run for a second term but if he decides at some point between now and then -- or even after he is re-elected -- to go the Jim DeMint route and simply walk away from the Senate, don't be surprised. Cruz won't be climbing the leadership ladder. Ever.
September 23, 2013, 02:42 pm Ted Cruz should resign from the Senate and run for president By Brent Budowsky You don't agree? Let me suggest a respected Texas or national media organization take a confidential "whip count" and ask House Republicans and Senate Republicans these questions: On a scale of 0 to 10, 0 meaning a senator is totally ineffective and 10 meaning a senator is highly effective, how would you rate Ted Cruz? And: If Sen. Cruz asks you to support a legislative action, are you more likely, or less likely, to support this action because it is Sen. Cruz proposing it? There are those legislators who are called work horses, who get things done to help their constituents and our country; and there are those who are called show horses, who get nothing done but waste taxpayer money to showboat for their own personal ego, vanity or ambition. Cruz is the ultimate show horse — and a whip count, even one limited only to Republicans in the House and Senate — will demonstrate how ineffective and disrespected Cruz has become even among Republicans. It is the job of senators to represent their states. Cruz cannot effectively represent Texas. Cruz should respect taxpayers and our free enterprise system. He should leave the Senate and stop asking taxpayers to subsidize his antics, and he should run for president and seek private donations to let Republicans decide if they want him to be their nominee in 2016. My guess is that Cruz will not run for reelection to the Senate, run for president and lose. "The Ted Cruz show" will ultimately land where it belongs. Perhaps he will someday land some prime real estate on "Crossfire" to bring pleasure to the 12 people left who enjoy blather stated by show horses, written by spinmeisters, promoted by vanity players, signifying nothing to voters who hunger for leaders.

Archbishop L. J. Guillory, OMBUDSMAN GENERAL Supports California Attorney General Kamala Harris for U.S. Senate 2016

Archbishop L. J. Guillory with Nationwide supporters and followers has told his California supporters to once again support Kamala Harris. It was Guillory who lead to fight in Los Angeles County for Harris against Los Angeles District Attorney Steve Cooley. Archbishop Guillory, 28 years as a Republican gave his endorsement to Harris. "I have known Los Angeles D.A. Steve Cooley, for years and when it came time for the two of us to talk about what took place in the injustice to Inglewood's Mayor Roosevelt Dorn, Mr. Cooley refused to talk to the African American Community!" "Well, I can not stand up for a guy who refuse to come to the table and talk to the community when there are issues of his office using race as a bases for prosecution." With the Bishop's endorsement came 350 statewide teams that know how to get the votes Harris won Los Angeles County where Cooley was The District Attorney. "I Know That Harris the Right Choice for The U.S. Senate 2016 and I'm with her all the way!" Said Guillory.
“Our beautiful democracy and system of justice has said that when any one of us has been harmed, it is a harm against all of us. A crime against any one of us is a crime against all of us,” said Harris, a former San Francisco district attorney. “And so I think about that and bring that to bear in the work that I have done as district attorney of San Francisco, now as attorney general of California, and with my intention to become the next United States senator from the state of California.”
“I think about the real possibility that for the first time in our nation, we might have a woman as president of these United States ,” Harris said. “And so I say, as we celebrate these past 30 years, let’s rededicate ourselves to the next 30 years. And let’s take heed of Coretta Scott King, who famously said: ‘Freedom is never really won. You earn it and win it in each generation.’ And folks, we are that generation. Let’s win in 2016.”
"I think that California wants and needs a tough, practical and results-oriented approach and leader in the Senate," Harris said, "especially, frankly, given the atmosphere in Washington today." Harris said she decided to run for Boxer's seat because many of the priorities she has had as attorney general — consumer protection, veterans, immigration, the environment — are issues she would like to tackle at the federal level. "All, I think, are very connected, directly connected to the work that I've been doing and want to see through," Harris said.
